My name is Mary Alice Crawford, and I have been in the education field for almost 15 years.  I am a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and a licensed teacher through the state of Virginia.  I have served Tidewater Academy over the last six years in a variety of roles, the most recent being the Third Grade teacher!  I have a great love for our elementary age students and enjoy watching them grow year to year!  My classroom philosophy is to provide each student with a safe, caring learning environment.  I also greatly value structure, creativity, and rigor in the classroom.  My husband, Eirc, and I are proud parents of our own TA Warrior, Lawson.  Outside of school, I enjoy reading historical fiction, raising chickens, walking our three golden doodles, and spending time with Eric and Lawson!  I am so thankful to be a part of the Tidewater Academy family!
