Kelley Conaway
Director of College and Career Readiness
Kelley Conaway is the Director of College and Career Readiness at Tidewater Academy. She graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (VA Tech). She continued her education by earning a Master of Education degree from Virginia State University and a Master of Arts degree in Administration and Supervision from Hampton University. Retiring from the public school system, where she spent 30 years in various roles from the classroom to the district office, she was not ready to sit at home. In 2018, she began working at Tidewater Academy and made it home. She has worked in various roles at Tidewater, including teacher, Interim Head of School, and Director of College and Career Readiness, her current position. Ms. Conaway states, βThe best part about my job is working directly with students. Helping them create a career pathway and seeing them follow it makes me happy. I am even happier when they choose my alma mater, VA Tech, as their postsecondary institution of higher learning.β
