Admissions Process

Step 1:
Contact Brandee Phillips, Admissions Director, at (757)899-5401 to receive an Admissions Packet. The Admissions Packet includes the following forms: Admission Application, Authorization for the Release of Records, Certificate of Expulsion, as well as information pertaining to tuition & fees, transfer credits, application procedures and other pertinent school information.

Step 2:
Forward the following information to the school:
*signed Authorization for the Release of Records form
*copy of applicant’s birth certificate
*current Virginia immunization record
*Commonwealth of Virginia School Entrance Health Form
*results of any neurological, psychological, or speech evaluation tests performed

Step 3:
Schedule a school interview. At the school interview, meet with Admissions Director, Brandee Phillips, to review all records and forms. Take a tour of the school, led by the Admissions Director. Meet with the Preschool Director, Lower School Director, or Headmaster, depending on the age level of your child.

Step 4:
Schedule placement tests.

Step 5:
Attend classroom visitation (required only for applicants who apply during the school year – waived for summer admissions) Student will spend an entire school day in the grade/classes to which he or she would normally be assigned.

Step 6:
Admissions committee will meet to review all information and records. Student will be “Admitted Unconditionally”, “Admitted Conditionally”, or “Denied Admission.”

Step 7:
Admissions Director will contact the family to let them know the school’s admission decision.
