About TA Forensics

Forensics is a middle school and high school speech competition that helps students build effective communication and presentation skills. Tidewater Academy competes in forensics competitions with other AVA (Association of Virginia Academies) member schools. Two events, a middle school competition and a high school competition, are hosted each school year by different AVA member schools. Any middle or high school student at Tidewater Academy may participate in forensics. Year after year, TA students continue to compete and place well in each forensics competition. At Tidewater, Mr. Tim Creighton is the faculty adviser for the Upper School forensic competition, and Mrs. Emily Pittman is the faculty adviser for the Middle School forensic competition.
